In the fall of 1991, concern began to grow for 31-year-old Lori Ann Thiel after her family realized no one had been in contact with her since at least October of that year. Lori, a resident of Aurora, Colorado, was living with her boyfriend at the time. The last communication her family had with her marked the beginning of a long and painful period of uncertainty.
