Debra Jean Vaughn was a 36-year-old woman from Greer's Ferry, Arkansas, when she was last seen on July 24, 1993. The day before her disappearance, she had a physical altercation with her husband, Gerald W. Vaughan, with whom she had a history of domestic violence. Following the argument, Debra spent the night at her mother's house, expressing her intention to leave her husband.
