Mitchell Zepedo, a 24-year-old man from Lyons, Illinois, was last seen on September 17, 1997. Zepedo had plans to travel to Traverse City, Michigan, with the intention of returning the following day to fly to Mexico and visit his wife and son. However, after leaving for Michigan, he was never seen or heard from again. His family reported him missing on October 2, 1997, after he failed to return.
