Edward Scott Cody, a 36-year-old man, was last seen on July 2, 1998, after he left from the Bay Pines Boat Ramp in Madeira Beach, Florida. Cody had gone out alone in his 24-foot pleasure vessel into the Gulf of Mexico, intending to scuba dive. His last known location was approximately seven miles west of John's Pass.
