Lara Antonya Lykiardopoulos, a 21-year-old student at the University of San Francisco, went missing on November 9, 1999, in San Francisco, California. She was last seen at a club on Divisadero Street, after an emotional encounter with her ex-boyfriend. Shortly after this incident, her red 1989 Jeep Cherokee was found parked at the Golden Gate Bridge employee parking lot.
Search dogs followed her scent to the entrance of the bridge, and witnesses reported seeing someone near the bridge around 10 p.m. that evening.
Despite extensive searches, Lara has never been found. Authorities, including her family, do not believe she was suicidal at the time, although she was being treated for depression. The investigation remains open, but her disappearance is classified as a "Lost/Injured Missing" case due to the proximity of her last known location to the Golden Gate Bridge.
