Monique Rae Smith, just one month old at the time of her disappearance, was last seen with her mother, Jennifer Lancaster, and her older sister, Sidney Smith, in Topeka, Kansas on May 12, 2000. The trio left their home around 8 p.m. to visit a male acquaintance but never arrived. Jennifer's vehicle, a 1994 Jeep Cherokee, was found abandoned at an apartment complex shortly after. Personal items, including the children's car seats and keys, were missing from the vehicle.
