Monique Rae Smith, just one month old at the time of her disappearance, was last seen with her mother, Jennifer Lancaster, and her older sister, Sidney Smith, in Topeka, Kansas on May 12, 2000. The trio left their home around 8 p.m. to visit a male acquaintance but never arrived. Jennifer's vehicle, a 1994 Jeep Cherokee, was found abandoned at an apartment complex shortly after. Personal items, including the children's car seats and keys, were missing from the vehicle.
Jennifer had been living with her mother and sister at an apartment in Topeka. Her mother noted that Jennifer had been quietly moving out some of her belongings before the disappearance. Despite extensive investigations, there has been no contact from any of the family members, and their whereabouts remain unknown.
Law enforcement continues to classify the case as endangered missing, and over the years, age-progressed images have been released in hopes of uncovering new leads. The case remains unsolved.Last Seen: May 12, 2000
