In the late summer of 2000, the academic community at the University of Missouri in Columbia was unsettled by a quiet and baffling disappearance. Yinzhou Zheng, a 46-year-old graduate student from China, was last seen on September 17, 2000. He had plans to travel to Iowa City, Iowa, to visit his daughter for the week. His son, who also attended the university, was told by his father that he would be back on September 23rd. However, Yinzhou Zheng never reached his destination, and concern mounted ...
