On August 15, 2004, her 38th birthday, Susan Nunez was last seen leaving her Milwaukee, Wisconsin home on foot. That morning, according to her sister, was unremarkable; she took a bath, got dressed, and walked out of the house she shared with her three teenage sons and their grandmother, leaving most of her personal belongings behind.
