In the autumn of 2005, a young man named Armando Chavez-Caballero, who was 27 years old at the time, vanished from his home in Aurora, Illinois. Originally from Mexico, Armando had moved to the United States about four years before he went missing. He was known by the nickname 'Cheeto' and sometimes used the aliases Juan Carlos or Esequiel Chavez.
