Prathima Venkatesan, an 8-year-old girl, was last seen on February 9, 2007, in Chaska, Minnesota. She and her younger brother, Monish, were abducted by their non-custodial mother, Renukadevi Venkatesan. The abduction was classified as a family abduction, and a felony warrant was issued for Renukadevi on January 4, 2008.
