Shawn "Heather" Maude, a 26-year-old woman from Roseburg, Oregon, was last seen on July 1, 2009. Despite being well-known in the local community, she wasn't reported missing until over a month later, on August 10. At the time of her disappearance, Heather was staying in the North Bank Road and Old Melrose Road areas of Roseburg. Her sudden absence was uncharacteristic, as she typically kept in regular contact with her family, particularly her mother.
