In the winter of 2010, the life of 50-year-old Donald B. Green, known to some as "Uncle Noonie," took a distressing turn into silence. On February 26, 2010, the Schenectady, New York, man was last seen at the Silver Slipper Bar on Henry Jackson Boulevard in Albany, New York. Earlier in the day, he had also visited the Duane Lounge in his hometown of Schenectady. At the time he went missing, he was wearing a distinctive long, brown mink coat. Green, a Black male with black hair and brown eyes, stood at five feet eight inches and weighed around 160 pounds. His disappearance initiated a long and troubling mystery for his family and investigators. The circumstances surrounding Donald Green's disappearance quickly became suspicious. Just a day after he was last seen, his red 1990 Cadillac, with the license plate number ESS1737, was discovered abandoned in Colonie, New York. The recovery of his vehicle without any sign of its owner deepened the concern for his well-being. Authorities began to investigate his case as an endangered missing person, believing he had met with foul play. The investigation revealed that Green may have been involved with drugs, leading authorities to suspect his disappearance could be related to this aspect of his life. Years have passed without any resolution in the case of Donald Green. Both the Schenectady and Albany police departments have been involved in the investigation, which remains open and unsolved. Authorities have publicly identified two individuals, Anthony "Inf" Davis and Ricky "L" Thornton, as persons of interest in Green's disappearance. These men were also looked at in connection with other local disappearances around the same time, including that of a marijuana dealer named Steven Jackson and another individual named Ashley Carroll. Despite Davis and Thornton facing charges in the Jackson case, they were ultimately acquitted, and no charges have ever been filed in connection with Green's vanishing. The case of Donald Green is an overview of a man who was last seen at a bar, his car found abandoned shortly after, and a trail that has since gone cold, leaving his loved ones with unanswered questions.
