In the winter of 2011, 28-year-old William "Billy" DiSilvestro was navigating life in his hometown of Hamilton, Ohio. Known to his friends and family as a social person who enjoyed being the center of attention, Billy was also dealing with personal challenges, including a seizure disorder that required medication. On the evening of February 7, 2011, a family member dropped him off at a friend's house in the Rossville area of Hamilton. In the early hours of the next morning, at approximately 2:30 a.m., Billy attempted to contact his mother and grandmother by phone, but neither call was answered. He did not leave a voicemail. It is believed he may have been trying to get a ride home. Not long after the attempted calls, Billy reportedly left the friend's house on foot and vanished into the cold night. He was without his cell phone, which his friend later discovered and returned to Billy's family. The family grew concerned when Billy, who had a history of disappearing for a few days at a time, did not return. This time felt different, as he had left behind his crucial seizure medication and had no money with him. His family officially reported him missing to the Butler County Sheriff's Office a few days after he was last seen. The initial search for Billy focused on Millikin Woods, a forested area that he might have walked through to get to his grandmother's house two miles away. Despite the search, investigators found no trace of him or his belongings. At the time of his disappearance, Billy was described as being 6'2" tall and weighing 180 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He had numerous distinctive tattoos, many related to the band Insane Clown Posse, including the word "Juggulo" on the back of his neck and a "Hatchetman" logo on the right side of his neck. He also had religious-themed tattoos, such as Jesus carrying a cross and a large angel on his arms. Years have passed since William DiSilvestro was last seen, and his case has grown cold, leaving his loved ones with no answers. His mother has remained a steadfast advocate for her son, tirelessly working to keep his story in the public eye. Over the years, numerous heartbreaking rumors have circulated about his fate, but none have been substantiated. An inmate once provided a tip that Billy's remains were in a canal, but a search yielded nothing. The Butler County Sheriff's Office continues to list his disappearance as an active cold case. The overview of this case is the story of a young man who disappeared after leaving a friend's home one winter night. His last known actions were two unanswered phone calls to his family. Despite ongoing efforts by his family and law enforcement, what happened to William DiSilvestro after he walked out the door remains a painful and unresolved mystery.
