Mary Alexandra McFadyen, a 79-year-old woman, was last seen on February 22, 2011, at her home in the 3800 block of Hidden Hollow Lane in northwest Austin, Texas. At the time, she was preparing for a move and planning a trip to England. She has not been heard from since that day. McFadyen's vehicle was found abandoned a few blocks from her home in April, with a flat tire, but no further trace of her was discovered.
McFadyen, a British native who had lived in the United States for about 40 years, was a well-known expert in Reiki therapy. Her disappearance raised concerns among family and friends, as it was out of character for her not to remain in contact. Garry Dolbow, McFadyen's ex-boyfriend, was the last known person to see her and has been named a person of interest. Despite being interviewed multiple times by authorities, no charges have been filed.
