Adam Clayton Lyle Jones, a 23-year-old from Gulf Breeze, Florida, was last seen by his family on March 31, 2011. He left home around noon, driving west in his light blue Oldsmobile Delta 88. He took minimal belongings, only carrying his laptop, and left behind his other personal items, including clothes. Adam's last known destination was the Grand Canyon, where his car was found abandoned on May 5, 2011, at the south rim visitor center of the national park.
Inside the car, park rangers found an itinerary that suggested Adam had plans to visit cities in California and Denver, Colorado. Despite an extensive search in and around the Grand Canyon, no trace of Adam has been found. His family had not filed a missing person report until the discovery of his vehicle, and Adam did not own a cellphone, making it difficult to track his movements. It is believed that Adam may have gotten lost or injured in the wilderness, but no definitive evidence has been uncovered to explain his disappearance.
