Cameron Remmer, a 29-year-old man from Encinitas, California, disappeared on October 6, 2011, while staying at the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco. Cameron had traveled to the city on September 29 to start a medical marijuana business and brought $30,000 in cash and a substantial quantity of marijuana. He had a history of bipolar disorder, for which he had stopped taking medication weeks before his disappearance, leading to concerns about his mental state.
