Richard James Rider Jr., 39, was last seen on October 11, 2011, leaving Dayspring Village, an assisted living facility in Hilliard, Florida, for adults with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. This was the day after his birthday. He was reportedly walking northbound toward the Georgia state line, but he has not been heard from since.
Rider, who went by the nickname "Richie," was wearing a teal-colored shirt with green and white stripes, denim shorts, and sneakers at the time of his disappearance. He also wore glasses and had a buzzcut. Authorities have noted that he may have traveled to Ohio, but no conclusive evidence supports this theory. Despite search efforts, Rider's case remains unsolved, and his family is still seeking answers.
