Forrest Atmore Stanton, a 77-year-old man from Billings, Montana, was last seen on August 2, 1960. On the night of his disappearance, Forrest left his home on Monroe Street after writing a note stating that he had found a "new job" inspecting fire damage. At the time, there were grass fires near Pompey's Pillar, an area where Forrest once owned a ranch, suggesting he might have been heading there. He was last spotted walking north on Monroe Street, but he never returned home.
