Missing

Gary Wayne Akers, 35, was last seen on December 11, 1988, in Union, Missouri. He left his home around 11:30 p.m. to borrow a chainsaw from a neighbor to cut wood for his family's stove. Shortly after midnight, Akers purchased a six-pack of beer at a local tavern. He never returned home, and his vehicle, a black Jeep, was found abandoned the next morning near the entrance of his subdivision. Four unopened cans of beer were found inside, and his car keys were tucked above the sun visor.
