At the time of his disappearance, Floyd was last seen at Jim's Tire and Automotive on Ellis Road, where he had been with his legal guardian, a longtime friend who owned the business. Floyd, who suffered from Alzheimer's disease, was prone to confusion and memory loss, which added urgency to the search efforts.
At around 9:00 a.m., Floyd reportedly walked away from the business without his guardian's knowledge. His absence was noticed within about 10 minutes, and despite an immediate search by his guardian and local authorities, he was never found. Due to his condition, it's believed he may have accepted a ride from a passing motorist. Despite extensive searches, Floyd's whereabouts remain unknown, and foul play is suspected.
