Glenda Jean Petersen, aged 40 at the time of her disappearance, was last seen on July 4, 1997, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She had attended a Fourth of July celebration at Lake Thunderbird with her 16-year-old daughter. At the end of the night, Glenda accepted a ride from a man she had met at the event, leaving her purse and boots with her daughter.
