On June 9th, 46-year-old Ron Louis Nordstrom left his parents' home on Yucca Avenue, where he was living at the time. Ron was a man described as a loner, who kept to himself. When he didn't come back that day, it was perhaps not immediately alarming, but as days turned into an agonizing wait, concern mounted. Five days after he was last seen, on what would have been his forty-seventh birthday, his family officially reported him missing. At the time of his disappearance, Ron was wearing a green "Oregon Ducks" sweatshirt, jeans, and a black baseball cap. He was a white male with brown hair and brown eyes, stood at 5'11", and weighed around 150 pounds. He had a noticeable scar on his chin, and one of his hands was smaller than the other. His bicycle was also distinctive, an older blue mountain bike with duct tape on the seat. The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation into his disappearance, but the years that followed yielded few answers. The bicycle he was riding has never been found, adding another layer of mystery to the case.
