In the summer of 1999, a quiet sense of unease settled over a family in Redmond, Oregon. On June 9th, 46-year-old Ron Louis Nordstrom left his parents' home on Yucca Avenue, where he was living at the time. He was riding his blue mountain bike, a vehicle he often used as he did not drive. He was reportedly headed to a store with just six dollars in his pocket.
