Carl Leroy Jackson, 32 years old at the time, went missing around September 1, 2003, from Fruita, Colorado. Known to have struggled with substance abuse, Jackson missed a scheduled court appearance, initially leading some to believe he may have fled to avoid prosecution. However, as time passed and he had no contact with family or friends, rumors surfaced suggesting foul play.
