Philistin Saintcyr, a 69-year-old man from Immokalee, Florida, was last seen on April 27, 2006. The day before his disappearance, Saintcyr experienced a medical emergency and was airlifted to NCH North Naples Hospital. After being treated and discharged the next morning, hospital staff provided him with a voucher for a cab ride back to his home in Immokalee. However, Saintcyr was unable to provide the cab driver with his address, prompting the driver to return him to the hospital.
Hospital staff then instructed Saintcyr on how to take a bus home, and he was last seen at a bus stop near 7th Street North in Naples. Despite these arrangements, Saintcyr never made it home and has not been heard from since. He suffered from high blood pressure and possibly dementia, which might have contributed to his confusion during his last known movements.
Saintcyr, originally from Haiti, had worked for many years with Disney before relocating to Immokalee for employment at a packing plant. He only spoke Haitian Creole and could not drive, which adds further complexity to his disappearance.
