In the late summer of 2007, a mother of three named Philiss Ann Crockett vanished under perplexing circumstances in Louisiana. A friend had given her a ride from her home in LaSalle Parish to a convenience store situated on Highway 165, right at the border of LaSalle and Caldwell Parishes.
