In the arid landscape of Southern Arizona, on June 22, 2009, a 30-year-old man named Luis Alberto Lira Chagala vanished under distressing circumstances. He was last seen in the vicinity of Sasabe, a small, unincorporated community on the U.S.-Mexico border in Pima County.
