In the early days of May 2010, a 25-year-old man named Haram Roberto Pino Flores vanished while embarking on a journey from Sasabe, Arizona, a small community on the U.S.-Mexico border. He had last been in contact with his uncles in Magdalena, a municipality in the neighboring Mexican state of Sonora, on May 2, 2010.
