Shawndell McLeod, a 35-year-old woman from Lithonia, Georgia, was last seen on the morning of September 24, 2011, as she left her home to begin her shift as a cook at a nursing home in Lawrenceville. She never arrived at work, and her family reported her missing when they could not reach her. Several days later, her vehicle, a 2011 Nissan Versa, was found abandoned near Cleveland Avenue in Atlanta, with signs of foul play, including damage and a tarp in the car.
