Jermaine Hunter, aged 39, was last seen on April 6, 2012, in Forest Lake, Minnesota. On that day, Jermaine had a confrontation with his girlfriend, Annette Greer, with whom he had been in a relationship for 12 years. After their breakup, Jermaine reportedly left the home they shared, and he has not been seen since. His family reported him missing several weeks later, expressing concern because it was uncharacteristic for him to stop communicating with them.
A few days after he was reported missing, Jermaine's backpack, containing personal documents, was found in a trash bin in Lino Lakes. Greer admitted to discarding it but claimed it was to prevent identity theft. Additionally, Jermaine had been accused by Greer's brother, Aaron Ross, of inappropriate conduct with Ross’s daughter.
