He and his older brother, Fernando, were brought by their mother, Arlet Hernandez Contreras, to visit their father, Shazer Fernando Limas, at his apartment. That same day, an argument broke out between Arlet and Shazer, after which Arlet and her two young sons were never seen again.
The case quickly escalated into a tragic investigation when Arlet's body was found two weeks later, having been stabbed 48 times and discarded in a gutter in Los Angeles County. Authorities suspected that Shazer Limas had also killed his two sons and disposed of their bodies.
