Morgan Martin, a 17-year-old from Saint Petersburg, Florida, was last seen on July 25, 2012. At the time, she was four months pregnant and reportedly excited about the upcoming birth of her daughter, whom she planned to name Ja'Leah Raquel. Morgan disappeared after stepping outside her family home around midnight to meet with Jacobee Flowers, the alleged father of her unborn child, to discuss the results of her ultrasound. Witnesses noted a white car in the driveway, but Morgan never returned inside, leaving behind her personal belongings, including her purse and the sonogram photo.

Authorities considered her disappearance suspicious due to her pregnancy and the fact that she left without any of her essential items. Her family and friends also confirmed that she was not one to disappear without contacting them, as she was known to frequently communicate with her mother. Investigators quickly suspected foul play and began focusing on Flowers, who had initially denied paternity and any involvement in Morgan's disappearance.

In 2016, Flowers was indicted for Morgan's murder, and in 2022, he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder. Flowers claimed that Morgan's remains were buried in Alabama, but despite extensive searches, her body has never been found. Flowers was sentenced to 40 years in prison as part of a plea deal.

Morgan's case remains an enduring tragedy for her family, who continue to search for closure and hope that her remains will one day be located.
