James McDonald, a 46-year-old man from Gainesville, Florida, was last seen on October 8, 2012. On that day, he visited a friend’s home in Suwannee, Florida, a location he frequented, to launch his kayak on the Suwannee River. He had recently gone through a breakup and appeared emotionally distressed at the time.
