In the spring of 1958, a 28-year-old man named Thomas Clyde O'Daniel found himself in Phoenix, Arizona. On May 15th of that year, he made a phone call to his family, a simple act that would become the last known contact anyone would have with him. During the call, Thomas, or Tom as he was known, mentioned his intention to hitchhike to Yuma, a journey of roughly 200 miles. He was a white male with blond or strawberry blond hair and green eyes.
