Janet Hollingsworth, a 25-year-old woman, was last seen on August 18, 1973, at a club in the Churchill Estates area on the north side of San Antonio, Texas. Her truck was later found abandoned behind the club, but Janet was never seen again. In 1981, Alan Curtis Klise, a drifter, confessed to her murder. He claimed to have met Janet at the club and invited her to breakfast.
After she initially agreed but later changed her mind, Klise said he strangled her, removed her clothes, and dumped her body near a railroad track in West Bexar County.
Despite Klise's confession, a search for Janet’s body in the area he described yielded no results, and without a body, charges against him were eventually dropped. The case remains unsolved, and Janet's body has never been found. Over the years, investigators have continued to work on her case, but no new leads have emerged.
