Donald Ferry Shafer, a 15-year-old boy from Dickson City, Pennsylvania, disappeared on March 9, 1981. Known to be a chronic runaway, Donald had a history of attempting to travel to see his sister in Wyoming, having previously spent time at the Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch, a residential treatment center for troubled youth in Montana.
