Carol Woolsoncroft, a 20-year-old waitress, was last seen on August 7, 1984, in Fort Myers, Florida. She had planned to end her relationship with her live-in boyfriend, Eugene LaFaye Jr., around the time of her disappearance. Carol worked at Raffles Bar & Grill in Edison Mall, where she had met LaFaye, who had been fired just weeks earlier. On the day she vanished, Carol was scheduled to work but never arrived.
