Cynthia Dyann Coleman, a 23-year-old woman, was last seen on September 3, 1986, on the Barona Indian Reservation in Lakeside, California. She left her home around 11:00 a.m. to give away a litter of kittens at a local supermarket. A friend of her brother later confirmed that he gave her a ride partway back to her home, but she was never seen again after that.
Cynthia’s mother reported her missing five days later, on September 8, when she failed to return home or make any contact with her family.
At the time of her disappearance, Cynthia was seven months pregnant and left behind her young daughter, along with her purse and cigarettes. She was last seen wearing Levi's jeans, a purple tank top, and flip-flops. She also had notable tattoos on her hands: "Fats" on one and "Lady" on the other. Despite extensive investigation, including the questioning and lie-detector testing of the person who last gave her a ride, no arrests have been made, and foul play is suspected in her case.
