Catherine "Cathy" Ford, a 19-year-old from Gorman, Maryland, was last seen on February 17, 1988. She received a phone call at her family’s restaurant from a man claiming to be a magistrate in Mt. Storm, West Virginia, who asked her to meet him to discuss some checks. Later that day, another call came from someone posing as an undercover officer, mentioning a possible investigation into her family's restaurant.
