Merlene Hayes, a 55-year-old woman from Tallahassee, Florida, went missing on April 26, 1994. She was last seen leaving her home on Pepper Drive around 7:30 p.m. for a walk, despite her daughter’s objections. This was her second walk of the day. Hayes, who required medication for depression, was prone to disorientation if she did not take her medicine regularly.
