Khristine Smith, a 27-year-old woman from Portage, Michigan, disappeared on September 28, 1994, under suspicious circumstances. On the day she vanished, Khristine and her husband, Russell Smith, reportedly had a heated argument. Russell claimed that Khristine had left him for another man, even showing a note that he said she had written. However, her friends and family doubted this story, especially because she would not have left her 7-year-old daughter behind.
