Jesus Alvarado Martinez, a 4-year-old boy, went missing from Houston, Texas, on October 20, 2004. At the time of his disappearance, Jesus was living with his mother, Rocio Alvarado, and his younger sister. The family had been facing domestic issues, and Rocio was estranged from her husband, Avelino Martinez. On the day of the disappearance, Avelino took Jesus and his sister to a doctor's appointment, but later that day, Rocio's relatives grew concerned when they could not contact her.
