Danielle Idaly Jimenez, a 3-year-old girl, was last seen on July 31, 2006, at her home in Channelview, Texas. Her disappearance is believed to have occurred under tragic circumstances. On that day, Danielle's father, Leandro Jimenez, allegedly stabbed her mother, Sonia Jimenez, to death during an ongoing dispute. After the murder, Leandro fled the scene with Danielle, initiating a manhunt.
Some reports suggest Sonia was killed in a parking lot while Danielle was at home with relatives, while others state that the murder happened at their residence with Danielle present.
A felony warrant for Leandro's arrest was issued on August 1, 2006, charging him with homicide. It is believed that Leandro abducted Danielle, and they may have traveled in a silver 2004 Chevrolet extended cab pickup truck, possibly heading to Del Rio, Texas, or into Mexico. Due to the violent nature of the events and the charges against Leandro, authorities consider Danielle to be in danger, and caution is advised in any attempts to locate or approach them.
