Carlos Manuel Pina, a 3-year-old boy, was last seen on September 13, 2006, in Pacoima, California. Carlos, along with his younger sister Briza (2), and two other siblings, Dana (7) and Karla (10), disappeared under suspicious circumstances. Authorities believe the children were abducted by their non-custodial mother, who is thought to have taken them to Mexico. The children's disappearance was classified as a family abduction, and the case was pursued under the international civil treaty known as the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
Despite efforts to locate them, the children's whereabouts remain unknown, and it is suspected they have been living in Mexico since their abduction.
