Jim Craig Martin, a 39-year-old man from Normangee, Texas, was last seen on August 6, 2007. He was in the 2900 block of Springfield Road with a group of people at the time of his disappearance. Witnesses reported seeing someone else driving his car, a Honda Accord, which was found abandoned and burned two days later in nearby Centerville. Despite immediate concerns from his family, law enforcement did not accept a missing person report until August 15, 2007, over a week after his last sighting.
Investigators have received numerous tips suggesting that Martin was murdered and that his body may have been disposed of in rural areas across several Texas counties, including Leon, Madison, and Brazos. In October 2020, Hollis Lane Willingham was arrested and charged with Martin's murder, though Martin's body has never been recovered.
