Diego Alejandro Flores, a 2-year-old boy, went missing on October 23, 2007, from Victorville, California. He was abducted, along with his 3-year-old sister Tammy, by their non-custodial father, Francisco Flores, during a scheduled visitation. Francisco never returned the children to their mother, Griselda Gonzalez, and a felony warrant for kidnapping was issued against him in January 2008.
Before the abduction, Francisco had refinanced his house and quit his job abruptly, taking all his savings with him. It is believed that Francisco may have fled with the children to Mexico, as he holds dual citizenship in Mexico and the U.S. There are also possibilities that they could still be in California or Oregon. Despite several sightings and continued investigation, the whereabouts of Diego, Tammy, and their father remain unknown.
Diego was described as small for his age, nonverbal at the time, and had light brown hair and brown eyes. His sister Tammy also had light brown hair and brown eyes. Authorities continue to search for any information that could help bring Diego and Tammy home safely.
