In the late summer of 2008, a family's life was irrevocably changed by the disappearance of a young boy. On August 30, 2008, 15-year-old Esmit Sanchez Gonzalez vanished from his home in Louisburg, a town in Franklin County, North Carolina. At the time he went missing, Esmit was described as a Hispanic male, standing five feet tall and weighing approximately 140 pounds, with both black hair and black eyes.
