Staci Lei Paul, a 36-year-old woman from Kenosha, Wisconsin, was last seen on January 4, 2009. Early that morning, around 3:50 a.m., her vehicle was driven off a pier into Lake Michigan. The car was later recovered about fifty feet from the end of the pier, with one of its windows broken, but there was no sign of Staci inside or nearby. Investigators found no human remains in the vehicle and have since presumed her deceased, although her body has never been recovered.
At the time of her disappearance, Staci had been experiencing significant personal difficulties, including financial problems and an eviction from her home. Authorities believe she may have been feeling despondent, and the circumstances of her car being driven into the lake suggest a deliberate act. Staci left behind a ten-year-old son, and her case has remained unresolved.
Despite extensive searches and ongoing investigations, there have been no significant developments in locating Staci. She was last seen wearing a white winter coat and a butterfly necklace, and she had two tattoos—one on her shoulder and another on her lower abdomen.
