Willie Charles Carswell, a 60-year-old man, was last seen in July 2012 at the 2 Foot Prints assisted living facility in Inkster, Michigan, where he resided. Carswell, who had mental disabilities and was insulin-dependent due to diabetes, was not immediately reported missing by the staff at the facility, contributing to uncertainty about the exact date of his disappearance. His family, alarmed after failing to contact him for over two months, eventually reported him missing in September 2012.
