Heather Cameron, a 28-year-old mother of four, went missing on August 18, 2012, after she was last seen near the Keswick Dam in Shasta County, California. That afternoon, Heather made three frantic 911 calls, claiming she had been drugged with heroin and needed help. These calls were made using the phone of her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Lusby, who was with her that day. During the calls, a male voice could be heard in the background.
Due to poor reception in the remote area, the calls dropped multiple times. Heather has not been seen or heard from since.
An extensive search was conducted around the Keswick Dam area, but no trace of Heather was found. Her estranged husband did not report her missing until two weeks after her disappearance. Lusby, considered a person of interest in the case, was interviewed by police multiple times but has never been charged. Heather's phone and vehicle, a gray 2003 Chevrolet Silverado, have also never been recovered.
Despite Heather's history of drug abuse, her family insists it is out of character for her to disappear without any contact, especially given her close relationship with her children.
