William Edward Legrand, a 61-year-old man from Raleigh, North Carolina, was last seen on September 28, 2012. Legrand, who was undergoing treatment for terminal cancer, was being advised by hospital staff to enter hospice care. However, he chose to leave the hospital on foot instead of accepting hospice care. This marked the last time anyone had contact with him.
